What factors should I consider in selecting a school for my pre-school child?

Take a tour of the school ground and facilities. The school should be at least reasonable in size and have ample space for outdoor activities. A wide range and variety of educational baby toys should be visible and ready for use. Talk extensively to the people running the facility. Are the administration and teachers approachable, knowledgeable and child-oriented? It is important that you are comfortable with the staff, facility and location. Prepare your questions in advance so you will cover all the basic need-to-know information on your first visit. Ask what teaching style and curriculum does the school adhere to. Ask comments from parents who have enrolled in the same school. Once you have decided in favor of a school, it’s time to pay the school a second visit for more assessment.
