How soon should I dedicate a play space in my home for my baby?

Having a big space and a dedicated playroom for the child is an ideal set-up. I assume you have a limited space in your house. As early as 6 months, you can set up a corner space in your bedroom or the living room for this purpose. Put in some mats for your little one to crawl and sit on. Set up a storage cabinet where you can display the educational baby toys . The lower shelves should be an open type so your child can easily reach out for the things. The upper part of the cabinet can have doors where you can store the heavy items such as toy trucks or assembly kits. Paint or decorate the corner wall so your child will identify it as the play area.
