What can I do as a parent to interest my child in science?
Observe how your kid reacts to his surroundings. The world is full of natural wonders that a child may be interested in. In teaching science, it is better to show kids how things look and how they function than by just simply telling them about it. Start with toy replicas of wildlife, land or sea creatures. As they see these replicas, you can orient them on the names, nature and habitat of these animals. Organize theme parties on the child’s birthday so he can see how, for example, a jungle looks like. Children’s educational toys such as science toys, kits, and equipment abound in the market. As you do the experiments, the child will have a simple explanation on how things work.
